COLLEGE CAREER: Four-year letterwinner at Central Michigan (2003-2006) is Chippewas' career record-holder for sacks (35.5) and tackles for loss (63.5), ranking second and seventh, respectively, all-time, in the MAC in those categories… Defensive MVP of 2007 East-West Shrine Game after recording 2.5 sacks… Three-time first team All-MAC selection… MAC Defensive Player of the Year following junior season in which he tied the conference’s single-season sack record with 16… Graduated in with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS: Entered NFL as a second-round selection (62nd overall) by Chicago in the 2007 NFL Draft… Signed 4-year contract with Bears (7/25/07)… SIGNED through 2010
PERSONAL NOTES: Versatile all-stater who led McBain to Division VI state runner-up in 2001… Ranked No. 29 in Detroit Free Press Fab 50… Earned 3 letters in track and football and 2 in basketball… All-state in all three sports… 3 prep football teams went 30-6, winning 2 conference and district titles… Finished career with 262 tackles and 3 interceptions… All-conference 3 times and all-state twice.
