Not much has happened in Sandersville, Ga., since Gen. William T. Sherman's army marched through there on it's way to the sea in 1864. That is, at least, until Rick Tomberlin took over the Washington County High School football program a dozen years ago. In 12 years, Tomberlin has won a record number of games, including three state titles, and produced no less than 63 college scholarship players, four of whom went on to play in the NFL and two more who will sign with the Chippewas tomorrow.
