MAC Football Preview Kicks Off 2010 Season

MOUNT PLEASANT - The 2010 football season officially begins this week with the Mid-American Conference Football Preview at Ford Field in Detroit.

Central Michigan head coach Dan Enos, senior linebacker Nick Bellore and senior receiver Kito Poblah will join representatives from each of the conference's other 12 members for the event.

The group arrived in Detroit Thursday and will participate in media day activities beginning today (Friday). Each of the coaches and players attending media day will be interviewed live on mac-sports.com.

The Mid-American Conference's official preseason poll also will be released today in conjunction with media day.

The Chippewas report for preseason camp in Mount Pleasant on Thursday, Aug. 5, with the season's first practice slated for the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 6. CMU will host its preseason media day on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

CMU has joined a growing list of institutions nationwide in not producing a printed media guide for the 2010 season. All of the information traditionally included in the media guide is now available online at cmuchippewas.com/football. CMU's record book will be updated weekly throughout the 2010 season, as will player and coaching staff bios.

CMU kicks off the 2010 season against Hampton on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. Single-game and season tickets are available now by calling 1-888-FIRE-UP2, online at CMUChippewas.com or by visiting the ticket office in Rose Center.
