Three More ESPN Appearances Scheduled for CMU

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University will have at least three more football games televised on the ESPN family of networks in 2009.
The Chippewas’ Oct. 10 home game against
Eastern Michigan
and road games at
Michigan State
(Sept. 12) and
Bowling Green
(Oct. 24) all will be available to a national audience. Kickoff for each of the three games is at noon.
Either ESPN or ESPN2 will televise the CMU-Michigan State matchup on Sept. 12. Which network will air the game will be determined the week prior to the contest.
The Chippewas’ Mid-American Conference matchups with Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green will be televised regionally on ESPN Plus and also available nationally on ESPN GamePlan.
Previously announced television appearances for the Chippewas include:
Wednesday, Nov. 11 vs.
Toledo
, ESPN2
Wednesday, Nov. 18 at
Ball State
, ESPN2 or ESPNU
Friday, Nov. 27 vs.
Northern Illinois
, ESPNU or ESPN360
With today’s announcement, CMU increases to 19 its total number of appearances on the ESPN family of networks since the start of the 2007 season. By the end of the 2009 season, the Chippewas will have had at least 24 games televised since 2007.
Game times for the remainder of CMU’s home games will be announced at a later date after additional potential television appearances are finalized.
Central Michigan
opens the 2009 season at
Arizona
on Sept. 5.
