Seven Chippewas Earn Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT - Seven members of the Central Michigan University football program have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference football team.
The Chippewas’ seven honorees are the most of any program in the MAC. This marks the third straight year that CMU has led the MAC in academic all-conference selections.
Junior quarterback
Dan LeFevour
is on the Academic All-MAC team for the third consecutive season. Making their second appearance on the squad are junior receiver

, senior offensive lineman
Andrew Hartline
and junior defensive end
Frank Zombo

For the first time in 2008, any nominated student-athletes not voted to the Academic All-MAC team are recognized as Academic All-MAC honorable mention. Student-athletes from CMU earning honorable mention recognition were sophomore defensive lineman

Of CMU’s seven academic all-conference selections, four (Anderson, Hartline, LeFevour and Zombo) also were named to 2008 All-MAC football team.
Central Michigan
closes the 2008 season against
Florida Atlantic
in the Motor City Bowl on Dec. 26. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit. ESPN will televise the contest to a national audience.
