MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan's Athletic Ticket Office has sold more than 5,500 Motor City Bowl tickets in the first four full days of sales.
The office is averaging more than 1,300 tickets sold per day, and the the 5,500 total tickets sold is higher than last year's sales after four days.
Central Michigan
University's fan support has helped the Motor City Bowl set attendance records each of the last two years. In 2007, a crowd of more than 60,000 filled Ford Field for the Chippewas' matchup with
Purdue
.
Fans are reminded that the CMU Athletic Ticket Office is offering exclusive reduced rate prices on all Motor City Bowl tickets. Sideline seats are available for $30 (savings of $15 per ticket), club seats are $45 (savings of $15 per ticket) and end zone seats are available for $20 (savings of $10 per ticket).
Chippewa Club members are reminded that Friday, Dec. 12 is the final day to take advantage of Chippewa Club reserved seating.
The CMU Athletic Ticket Office in Rose Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased over the phone by calling 1-888-FIRE-UP2 or online at cmuchippewas.com.
Purchasing tickets through the CMU Athletic Ticket Office is the only way for fans to guarantee they will be seated in the reserved CMU sections. Revenue from ticket sales provides direct support for the Chippewa football program and Marching Chips in offsetting costs associated with the bowl game.
