Brunner Named National Player of the Week
Brunner's 35 completions is tied for the second-most in a single game in school history. Each of his four touchdown passes, three of which came on third down, tied the score after IU had taken four different seven-point leads. Ten of CMU's 11 third-down conversions in the game were the result of Brunner pass completions.
Central Michigan's win over Indiana was its first over a Big Ten opponent since back-to-back wins at Michigan State in 1991 and 1992. The Chippewas have now won five straight to improve to 7-2 overall this season.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation honors one offensive and one defensive player as its national Bowl Subdivision player of the week each week during the regular season. Recipients are selected by a panel of national media members and administered by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
CMU returns to action Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Northern Illinois. ESPN2 will televise the contest, set for a 7 p.m. Central Time kickoff.
