MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University has collected a pair of Mid-American Conference football player of the year awards and placed 10 individuals on the all-conference squad.
Headlining the postseason honorees for CMU are sophomore quarterback
Dan LeFevour
of Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy and freshman receiver
Antonio Brown
. LeFevour was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year, while Brown was selected MAC Freshman of the Year.
Central Michigan
University's 10 all-conference selections are tied for the most in the MAC this season.
LeFevour is the fourth Chippewa to be named MAC Offensive Player of the Year, joining quarterback Gary Hogeboom (1979), tailback Curtis Adams (1982), quarterback Jeff Bender (1990) and tailback Brian Pruitt (1994).
Brown is the fifth CMU player to collect MAC Freshman of the Year accolades, joining Bender (1988), tailback Silas Massey (1995), running back Jerry Seymour (2003) and LeFevour (2006).
LeFevour was named to the all-conference first team offense for the second consecutive season, becoming the first CMU signal-caller to earn All-MAC first team honors in consecutive seasons. Brown was named the conference’s first team kick return specialist and was voted to the all-conference second team offense.

Ike Brown
of Saginaw, Mich., (Bridgeport H.S.) were selected to the all-conference first team defense.
Named to the All-MAC second team offense with Antonio Brown were sophomore receiver
Bryan Anderson
of Rockford (Mich.) High School and junior offensive lineman
Andrew Hartline
of Baroda, Mich., (Stevensville Lakeshore H.S.).
Three players were voted to the all-conference third team. Senior offensive lineman
Eric Tunney
of Alger, Mich., (Whittemore-Prescott H.S.) and junior running back
Justin Hoskins
of Grand Rapids (Mich.) Creston High School were named to the third team offense, while senior defensive tackle Steven Friend of Grand Rapids (Mich.) Forest Hills Northern High School was a third team defense honoree.
