MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University sophomore quarterback Dan LeFevour of Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Chippewas' 35-32 win at Akron Friday.

Dan LeFevour completed 33-of-54 passes for a career-high 382 yards and rushed 16 times for 132 yards. He threw for a pair of touchdowns and scored twice on the ground.

With CMU trailing 32-20, LeFevour threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Kito Poblah with 6:58 remaining. LeFevour then scored on a 1-yard run with 1:31 left to put the Chippewas in front.

LeFevour’s 514 yards of total offense against the Zips is a school record and the third-highest single-game total in MAC history. LeFevour had previously set the school record with a 506-yard performance in a 58-38 win at Ball State on Oct. 6.

LeFevour collects the conference’s weekly honor for the fourth time this season and fifth time in his career.

Central Michigan will represent the West Division in the MAC Championship Game on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ford Field in Detroit. ESPN2 will televise the contest to a national audience.
