MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University sophomore quarterback Dan LeFevour and sophomore kicker Andrew Aguila have been named Mid-American Conference West Division Players of the Week.

Dan LeFevour of Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy earns the honor on offense, while Andrew Aguila of Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco High School and Compton Junior College claims the special teams award.

LeFevour completed 23-of-38 passes for 235 yards and rushed 18 times for 72 yards in CMU’s 34-31 win at Western Michigan. He threw for one touchdown and ran for two, all in the fourth quarter, including a 1-yard sneak with 12 seconds remaining that proved to be the game-winner.

LeFevour became CMU’s all-time leader in total offense in the victory. He earns the conference’s weekly honor for the third time this season and fourth time in his career.

Aguila converted field goals of 21 and 29 yards and was 4-for-4 on point-after attempts in the Chippewas’ win at Western Michigan. This is the first time in his career he has been named MAC West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.

Central Michigan (6-4 overall, 5-0 MAC, 4-0 MAC West) closes the home portion of the schedule Friday night, hosting Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m. Comcast Local will televise the contest live.
