Defensive end Lance Beers of Dearborn Heights (Mich.) Crestwood High School verbally committed to Central Michigan University in August. With the recent departure of former CMU head coach Brian Kelly to Cincinnati, two rival Mid-American Conference schools have stepped-up their recruitment of Beers.
