MOUNT PLEASANT - Two Central Michigan University football players were honored by the Mid-American Conference following Saturday's 24-21 overtime victory over Western Michigan.

Junior quarterback Kent Smith (Toledo, Ohio/Start) shared the MAC West offensive "Player of the Week" honors with Northern Illinois' Garrett Wolfe.

Smith competed 21-of-39 passes for 205 yards and ran 10 times for 72 more yards. He rushed for one score and passed for another in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime.

Walk-on freshman Ronald Budd (Charlotte) kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime from 25 yards out to capture MAC West special teams "Player of the Week" honors.
