One if the top quarterback prospects in the Midwest, Clayton Thorson of Wheaton North (Ill.) High added another Big Ten offer this week.
"Minnesota offered me Thursday," Thorson said.
Thorson added the Gophers offer sort of unexpectedly.
"Coach Phelps from Minnesota called my coach, Coach Wardynski," Thorson said. "And told him that they were going to offer me."
Thorson is excited about adding his first offer since picking up an offer from N.C. State in Early December.
"I was definitely happy that I have received the offer from Minnesota," Thorson said. "And now I'm interested to learn more about Minnesota."
The 6-foot-4, 195 pound signal caller has offers from Indiana, Illinois, Penn State, Iowa and several more, but there is one school that Thorson has been hearing from the most.
"Right now I have been hearing from Vanderbilt a lot," Thorson said. "And as for visits I'm going to Iowa on Sunday."
