MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan junior kicker David Harman has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.

David Harman kicked a career-high three field goals (39, 18, 32 yards) and converted both of his point-after attempts to account for 11 points in the Chippewas' 23-22 win at Akron on Saturday.

Harman extended to 10 his streak of consecutive field goals made, and is now 12-for-14 on field goals and 23-for-23 on point-after attempts this season.

Harman earns the award for the second time this season. He also was recognized after making a pair of field goals and converting all six of his point-after attempts in CMU's 48-41 win over Northern Illinois on Oct. 1.

Central Michigan (3-6 overall, 2-3 MAC) closes out its second three-game road trip of the season on Friday at Kent State. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
